Tasting: Can Xa Brut Cava

Can Xa
Brut Cava

2017
$11.95

Winery Review: Cava Can Xa is clean, crisp, fruity and refreshing. On the nose, you can appreciate notes of lemon, mandarin, yeast and dried fruits. On the palate, Cava Can Xa is fresh, delicate with a vibrant finish. Secondary fermentation in the bottle with minimum aging for 9 months. This cava is an excellent aperitif, also perfect to accompany ham, cured meats, and sausages, seafood, fish with sauce, rice, poultry, meats, semi-cured cheeses, and desserts.

My Review: This was the most complex and flavorful wine I tasted during the tasting. The yeast undertone in the wine resulted in the wine tasting like a brie cheese or manchego, receiving flavoring help from a pear. This wine was very delicious and I can see pairing it with a hefty meal.

I tasted this wine by itself.
