Skyfall  Red Blend  (55% Merlot, 22% Syrah, 15% Cab Sav,  4% Mourvedre, 2% Cab Franc,  2% Grenache) Columbia Valley, Washington United States 2015 $20 Winery Review:  A blend of 55% Merlot, 22% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Mourvedre, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Grenache. Wonderful berry fruit on the nose with integrated oak notes woven throughout. On the palate black cherry and blackberries mingle with spice and oak notes. A broad and rich wine with a long elegant finish.                   My Review: This was a very fun and flavorful wine. I enjoyed the intense flavors of tabacco and cherry, which presented itself in the mild to strong tannins present in the wine. There was a nice woody finish, that had a nice oaky taste.  I tried this wine by itself. 

Acronym Chardonnay California Uni ted States 2013 $15 Winery Review:  Simple and soft, this Chard is a juicy, forward with hints of tropical fruit and a touch of vanilla. A nice acidity balances the rich fruit flavors. My Review: This wine was delicious with nice floral aromas and a pineapple note on the front of the palate. The smokiness of the wine was added from the vanilla, which offered a nice smooth finish.  I tasted this wine by itself. 

Clara Benegas Chardonnay Mendoza Argentina  2016 $14 Winery Review:  A crisp, unoaked chardonnay with a hint of Sauvignon Blanc coming form the cold region of Mendoza in the Uco Valley. Clear and bright with greenish hues. On the nose it is fragrant and elegant with fresh citrus aromas as well as fruit such as passion fruit, pineapple and white pear. Soft on the mouth with gentle acidity and a marked, pleasant aftertaste. Enjoy with seafood dishes, white meats or simply as an aperitif. My Review: This a refreshing Chardonnay that was light and airy on the palate. Subtle hints of citrus that finsh into a fruity and floral aftertaste. I tried this wine by itself.

Arrow Creek  Coastal Series Pinot Noir California  2015 First Tasting: This was a deep, bold red wine that hosted a lot of noticeable and indistinguishable notes. The wine had an interesting sour aroma that had slight berry notes. On the palate,  the was a bright woodiness and cherry notes. This wine had a high tannin and mild acidity which coated my mouth. The wine offered a long finish that was smooth.  Second Tasting: After letting the wine sit for a few hours, and aerating, we tasted it and the flavors changed slightly. I thought that the profile of the wine was going to change drastically and I was going to notice a major difference but only tasted the more enhanced, already present aromas and notes. The oakness in the wine was a lot deeper and noticeable. I was able to notice more of a stronger raspberry note, and as for the tannins, they leveled out and the wine became smoother. Alessandro Veglio  Barolo Barolo Italy 2012 $50 Winery Review: Located in the famous wine commune of La Morra, Alessandro Veglio produces small amounts of very fine and very affordable Barolo. Intense aromas of roses, cherries, leather, and plum lead to a firm and dry palate showing complex flavors of dried red fruits with big acidity and balsamic note. This wine will continue to evolve and improve for at least another decade! Great with rich Italian meat sauces and hard cheeses.  My Review: This was a pleasant, bold tasting wine that had great sweet aromas of berries, with slight floral notes. We tasted the wine with Gouda. The wine and the cheese completely changed when tasted together. The wine became more leathery and made the cheese taste more buttery. 

Can Xa Brut Cava Cava Spain 2017 $11.95 Winery Review: Cava Can Xa is clean, crisp, fruity and refreshing. On the nose, you can appreciate notes of lemon, mandarin, yeast and dried fruits. On the palate, Cava Can Xa is fresh, delicate with a vibrant finish. Secondary fermentation in the bottle with minimum aging for 9 months. This cava is an excellent aperitif, also perfect to accompany ham, cured meats, and sausages, seafood, fish with sauce, rice, poultry, meats, semi-cured cheeses, and desserts. My Review: This was the most complex and flavorful wine I tasted during the tasting. The yeast undertone in the wine resulted in the wine tasting like a brie cheese or manchego, receiving flavoring help from a pear. This wine was very delicious and I can see pairing it with a hefty meal.  I tasted this wine by itself. 

Eikeboom Pinotage Western Cape, South Africa Africa 2015 $15 Winery Review: This dark-colored 2015 posses cranberry and cherry richness intermixed with some spice box, earthy herbs. It is fresh, medium-bodied and could be served chilled if readers desire, given its  Beaujolais-like weight and texture. My Review: I really haven't tasted a wine like this before. It was quite refreshing and easy to drink, which is quite dangerous. It tasted like an adult cranberry juice wild mild acidity. The earthiness of the wine has balanced with little berry hints on the back of the palate.  I tasted this wine on its own.
